Senior Property / Casualty Commercial Underwriter - Hybrid

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Our client, a large Insurance Co, has a need for a Senior Property / Casualty Commercial Underwriter.

This is a direct hire position. You will provide third-party underwriting services and be responsible for performing captive underwriting comprised of property/casualty including workers' compensation lines of business with account premiums ranging from $25,000 - $2,000,000 in premiums.



This is a W-2 position. No C2C Candidates Permitted with our client.

Location: Austin, TX Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)



Essential Responsibilities:

Maintains strong relationships with agents, brokers, carrier contacts and internal department personnel.
Works with claims and risk control teams to assist in any program service issues.
Assists in the development and administration of complex underwriting rules and guidelines.
Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to improve risk selection.
Acts as a technical resource for property and casualty coverage lines of business.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in insurance or finance from an accredited college or university preferred.
6 Years of Commercial Insurance Underwriting Experience (Public entity Preferred, Not required)
TX P&C License Required or MUST obtain within 6months of hire.

Preferred Experience

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI), Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI) and/or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) courses and/or designations preferred.

Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position
