experienced, highly motivated Product Engineer to join our team. As
a Product Engineer, the candidate would support the build and test
of products from sub-assemblies to box-level end-items in the
production factory as well as the repair depot. In this role, the
candidate must demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, a focus on
quality, good communication skills, and be able to work
cross-functionally within the operations organization and with
other disciplines/functions. This position includes the following
activities:
- Support the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of
electro-mechanical assemblies, modules, and sub-assemblies, working
directly with hardware and design engineering personnel as
required.
- Create rework plans for factory fallout.
- Interface with Engineering, Quality, and other supporting
functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.
- Generate and implement improvements in product and test design
and develop methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and
improve throughput.
- Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report
regularly to the team.
- Feedback lessons learned to the design teams for continuous
improvement.
- Generate and review the technical content of test procedures,
drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change
Orders, and other documentation.
- Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers
as required.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel.
- Support relocation of manufacturing equipment and test
equipment between manufacturing sites and lead transition to
production.
- Support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
- Identify, Create, and Implement Engineering Change Orders on
products as required.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS Engineering Degree
- 4 years working in a production manufacturing environment
- Experience using metrics and data to drive actions.
- Proven track record of solving complicated production issues
and/or driving yield improvements.Preferred Education, Experience,
& Skills
- 6+ years experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies
in a transition to production and/or product sustainment role
- Experience supporting a repairs / depot factory
- Completed Green belt six sigma training
- Root Cause Corrective Action problem solving experience and
training
- Experience with New Product Introduction and product transition
to manufacturing
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- Secret ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 -
$156860Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
