AustinPx is a customer-facing contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), laser focused on providing client-centric service. We offer preclinical through Phase II formulation and process development and GMP manufacturing of oral dosage forms and specialize in bioavailability enhancement, speed to clinic and market development strategies, and dose form development. Due to our success, we currently are searching for a Director, Business Development.This position has responsibility for establishing new contract development and manufacturing partnerships in the target territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying and securing new business across AustinPx's formulation and dose form manufacturing offerings. Success will be primarily measured by sales growth and metrics. Target programs are fast paced and high value contractual relationships and require a 'team sale'.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the business development activities for a given territory.
  • Identify, open, and close business deals with new and existing clients; driving the Company's growth and profitability.
  • Build a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve annual sales targets through closing of new business.
  • Implement strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share in the target region.
  • Build robust meeting/call plans for individual territories in the region with specific KPIs and metrics.
  • Organize, attend and facilitate site visits with prospective clients; set agendas, coordinate team participation, lead discussions, and visit follow-up.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain a positive, constructive and trusting working relationship with members of relevant internal teams.Location: The position is ideally based within close proximity to a US biotech/pharma hub.Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science, ideally in Chemistry or Biological Science.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of Contract Development and Manufacturing field-based sales or 3-5 years of inside sales experience, preferably with a focus on oral drug delivery process services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Understanding of the Biotech industry with a focus on:
  • Bioavailability enhancement
  • Oral dose development
  • Early phase development strategies
  • Competitive selling strategies
  • A self-starter and autonomous.
  • Knowledge of competitor's products and services.
  • Must be comfortable engaging both commercial and technical operations teams.
  • Discussing strategic as well as tactical approaches to growing customer and the overall business.
  • Strong sense of urgency, team player, and exceptional communication and presentation skills.
