Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: To be discussed during the interview Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), IV Certification for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) Must-Have: Medical-Surgical/Neuro experience Job Description: - Work in a general medical/surgical unit with 34 beds. - Collaborate with a team of 54 staff members to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Maintain patient ratios of 1:6. - Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitor, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, and CareView Virtual Sitter. - Use EMR system: Meditech. - Perform procedures such as dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), gastric decompression, and wound care. - Exhibit a team-oriented and self-motivated personality. - Adhere to dress code: Navy scrubs; hoop nose piercings not allowed. - Participate in a department recognized for multiple ICARE awards and staff recognition based on patient feedback. - Opportunity to work with new equipment and technology. - Engage in schedule options to meet work-life balance needs. This position does not require an on-call commitment but includes four weekend shifts per schedule. Orientation packet and unit policies will be provided on the start date.
