- Schedule: Monday through Friday Day shift Supervisor for the
Orthopedic Specialty Service Line. On-call requirements.

Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to,
experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the
time of the offer.Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily
operations of surgical suites and provide leadership in assigned
service line(s). Ensure implementation of clinical objectives and
quality patient care.
- Supervise operating room (OR) operations and serve as an expert
for the assigned specialty or service line(s). Ensure proper
communications occur with the OR and other units.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient
care services for the assigned service line(s). Oversee processes
and procedures to guarantee efficient, effective and safe delivery
of healthservices.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, leadership and staff to
develop and implement streamlined operations where equipment,
supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
- Maintain clinical competency and may serve as a front-line
staff member as needed.
- Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and
evaluating of staff.Requirements Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or
job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American
Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in First Assistant
credentialed from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of
Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior
to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for
Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical
Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire
date or job transfer date.
- Approved Local Exception preferred. -Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative
experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of
experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required.Additional Preferences At least 3 years
experience as a Surgical Tech and has a current certification for
Certified Surgical Technologist. - Needs to have experience in
orthopedic surgical cases - where you are able to pass. - Need to
have good teaching skills to help train the new staff and the
