Position: Senior Software Engineer - Security ClearanceLocation: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid - 50% onsite at Lackland AFB)Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-TimeStart Date: 12-Nov-2024Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Government Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship mandatory).
Job Description:We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions for computer-based systems. The candidate will work closely with a team of engineers to deliver software solutions that meet our client's requirements. This hybrid role offers flexibility with a blend of remote and in-office work, supporting work-life balance.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust Java-based software capabilities.
• Design and implement enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
• Develop solutions using microservices architecture.
• Utilize Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Troubleshoot complex issues under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate in an agile software development environment.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Government Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship mandatory).
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience, or
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or
  • High School Diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with Java and Python.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Git, Nexus, Maven).
  • Experience in microservices, enterprise API design, and RESTful services.
  • Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) within 60 days of hire.Desired Skills (Preferred):
    • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
    • Knowledge of NoSQL databases, full-text search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
    • Scripting and automation experience.
    • Familiarity with Big Data Platforms.
