SkyGrid, a Boeing, Avathon Company, exists to open the sky for
autonomous flight. Based in Austin, Texas, SkyGrid builds
high-assurance digital third-party services to help autonomous
aircraft integrate into the airspace. By acting as a robust
Provider of Services for UAM (PSU), SkyGrid enables high-density
advanced air mobility operations and efficient airspace
operations.SkyGrid is looking for a Head of Product to help us
shape the future of aviation, flight autonomy, and digital
operations. You will define and build digital products and systems
to deliver safe, scaled operations and airspace integration for
advanced air mobility, autonomous aviation, and existing aviation
segments. To achieve this ambitious goal, the Head of Product will
drive product development at SkyGrid from concept to delivery. You
are successful because of your bias to action, curiosity, and
resourcefulness. Your relentless customer advocacy is modulated by
your critical eye and keen product sense. You are a servant
leader.Performance Objectives
- Define new digital solutions to automate and scale autonomous
aviation, advanced air mobility, and other aviation segments.
- Working with BD and engineering, define integrated product
strategy covering AAM and existing aviation segments: ANSP/ATM,
rotorcraft operations, military use cases.
- Define a defensible annual and long-term product roadmap.
- Working with BD to achieve company revenue and customer
acquisition objectives.
- Prototype and test to discover product market fit. Define and
validate product value propositions. Quantify unit economics and
validate willingness to pay.
- Define and execute plan toward product demo and launch across
multiple segments.
- Build and grow a high-performance product team.Responsibilities
- Work with CEO and leadership team to define near and long-term
products across multiple aviation market segments. Build and drive
product development process and culture across the company.
- Grow and develop the product team - they are the basis of our
success.
- Develop and drive product strategy across multiple segments.
Work with the leadership team to continuously learn from the market
and validate and refine our product strategy.
- Define and drive product development processes and integration
points with engineering, business development, and other
organizations.
- Deeply understand user pain points and translate them into
actionable product roadmap.
- Leverage your expertise in aircraft operations, air traffic
management, and airspace integration to be a gatekeeper for product
and feature requests.
- Be hands-on. Take products from prototype to launch. Coordinate
go-to-market across marketing, programs, and engineering.
- Develop value and cost-based business cases and pricing models
for initial and objective products.
- Be a problem solver and owner. Address emerging,
cross-functional issues that fall through the cracks throughout the
product lifecycle.
- Be the face of the company in industry forums.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Technical background in aerospace,
computing, and engineering a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a
managerial capacity, with a proven track record of effectively
overseeing and guiding product teams.
- 5+ years of experience in product management with a track
record of developing and launching new products in aerospace or
related technologies.
- Strong domain knowledge and product sense in aviation, flight
operations, aviation data, ATM/CNS systems, and related digital
services and systems.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience in uncrewed aviation, air traffic management, UTM,
