iSphere is on the lookout for a dynamic Systems Analyst consultant for a 3-month contract opportunity in Austin. If you have a knack for understanding business objectives, solving complex problems, and identifying innovative solutions, this role is for you. Our ideal candidate will perform in-depth studies and cost/benefit analyses to enhance our existing computer systems and automate processes.

Key Responsibilities

Migrate Legacy Systems: Lead the transition from current legacy systems to modern cloud-based SaaS solutions. This involves comprehensive planning, data assessment, extraction, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. You'll develop scripts to extract data from legacy systems like Oracle Cerner's Millennium database in HL7 format. (60%)
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of the migration process, including creating and executing unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing results, and debugging issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability of the new SaaS solution. (20%)
Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on migration progress to all project stakeholders, including managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts. Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution. Prepare and deliver presentations to explain the migration process and technical challenges. (10%)
Post-Migration Support: Ensure a smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration. This includes training end-users, preparing comprehensive documentation, and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance. (5%)
Compliance and Validation: Ensure design compliance with standards, and set up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration. (5%)

Candidate Skills and Qualifications

Database Management: 8 years of experience with database management systems, workflows, and data migration, focusing on healthcare EHR systems. Expertise in scripting, extracting data in HL7 format, and mapping to target systems.
Oracle Cerner Expertise: 8 years of experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium database and Cerner Command Language (CCL) for efficient data migration to SaaS platforms.
Business Analysis: 8 years of experience in analyzing user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.
EHR Application Domain: 8 years of experience in understanding current systems, creating workflow analysis, and developing workflows, design, programming, and support using software engineering practices.
Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills for producing clear documentation and engaging with stakeholders.
IT Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, strategically applied within the organization.
Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration.
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework, SaaS model EHR systems, cloud data migrations, regulatory compliance, data security in healthcare, and Agile Scrum Methodology.
