CAMPUS----Job Details:General NotesThis posting is for a position
at J.J. Pickle Research Campus in North Austin.PurposeSupport
program development to target research related to oil and gas,
emerging energy resources, and environmental. Target funding
sources are broad including county, municipal, state, federal,
corporate, and international sources. The holder of the position
will develop new relationships that lead to fundable projects in
the coming 1-2 years. This position will also support the
development of external programs targeting professional development
opportunities for industry and other interested
parties.Responsibilities
- Project development/raise funding. New funding sources as well
as keep up with changes in existing funding sources. Project
content developed from across all the Bureau groups with a focus on
a wide range of topics from oil and gas research to emerging
energies and environmental topics.
- Work collaboratively inside the Bureau with PI's to develop new
project concepts and leads on funding sources, showcase proposals
and follow up.
- Work on increasing prospects for funded training and
professional development delivered through Bureau resources, an
untapped way of developing new funding.Required
QualificationsMaster's degree in geoscience or engineering. More
than 10 year's work experience in research as well as work
experience in the oil and gas industry. Proven skills in networking
and maintaining positive relationships with many groups who work in
emerging energy issues, including international experience, federal
experience, industry experience, and work with other types of
interest groups. Proven project development and project management
experience. Several years' experience in managing funding for
projects. Strong background in carbon management and mitigation
technologies.Preferred QualificationsPetroleum engineering degree,
well developed professional reputation via networking, talks,
publications. Educational and training experience. Recent
experience with federal funding.Salary Range$130,000+ depending on
qualificationsWorking Conditions
