What we are looking for: Lou's Barton Springs is looking for a
talented and passionate Bar Manager to lead our beverage program
and elevate our guests' dining experience. In this role, you'll
curate an exceptional selection of spirits, signature cocktails,
craft beers, and fine wines that complement our menu and celebrate
Austin's vibrant beverage scene.

Management:
- Lead and manage the front-of-house team, including bartenders,
servers, hosts, and bussers, promoting professionalism, teamwork,
and guest satisfaction.
- Train and mentor staff on service techniques, product
knowledge, and customer engagement to deliver exceptional dining
experiences.
- Educate staff on beverage knowledge, including product
information, service techniques, and responsible alcohol
service.Guest Experience:
- Provide exceptional service by engaging with guests, offering
recommendations, and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving
issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee table reservations, seating arrangements, and guest
flow to optimize seating capacity and minimize wait
times.Operational Excellence:
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for
service staff to ensure efficient and smooth service
operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and
maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Conduct regular analysis of beverage sales, costs, and trends
to make data-driven decisions and implement improvement
strategies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to identify beverage
pairings that enhance the flavors of our dishes.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team for seamless communication and
coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house
operations.
- Collaborate with the events team to assist in planning and
executing various events.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for
service staff to ensure efficient and smooth service
operations.Beverage Program Management:
- Assist in curating an outstanding selection of spirits,
signature cocktails, craft beers, and fine wines highlighting
Austin's beverage scene.
- Create and update beverage menus, incorporating seasonal and
innovative offerings while ensuring a balanced selection for
diverse customer preferences.
- Oversee beverage procurement, inventory management, and cost
control to maximize profitability.
- Foster strong relationships with local suppliers, distributors,
and artisans to source unique, high-quality beverages.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging products, and
customer preferences to stay ahead.Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within
the restaurant industry.
- In-depth food and beverage operations knowledge, including
service techniques and product knowledge.
- Proficient in managing inventory, cost control, and analyzing
sales data.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the
restaurant industry.
- Certified in Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission + Texas Food
Management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and
inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact
with guests, staff, and management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as
required.Physical Requirements:
